Abia Homeland Security Agency Sacks Deputy Director Over Multiple Code of Conduct Violations

The Management of the Abia State Homeland Security Agency says it has formerly dismissed a former Deputy Director of Logistics in the agency, Tochi Ireokwu with immediate effect.

In a statement made public and signed by the management of Abia State Home Land Security Agency, the decision follows the findings and recommendations of a duly constituted six-man Disciplinary Investigation Panel, which thoroughly investigated allegations of serious misconduct and violations of the Agency’s Code of Conduct.

According to the statement, the panel found the officer culpable of Gross Misconduct, Vandalism, Unlawful Removal of Property, Impersonation, Unauthorized Operational Engagement, Abscondment from Duty, and Abuse of Office and Authority.

Consequently, the dismissed officer is no longer authorized to represent the Agency in any capacity while the public is advised to refrain from conducting any official business with her, as the Agency shall bear no responsibility for any actions undertaken in association with her in its name, the statement adds.

The agency says, it remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, discipline and security in all our operations.

Recall that Tochi Oluebube was recently arrested by security operatives on allegations of vandalism of government property, abuse of office and other acts of misconduct.
